Our small wicking bed on 6 heavy duty castor wheels (2 with brakes) with WaterUps® wicking cells.
Designed and manufactured in the Adelaide Hills from sustainably sourced, plantation pine in either
untreated or eco-treated (not CCA).

2 timber options are available: untreated pine or eco-treated pine (not CCA).
We use heavy duty castor wheels, each rated to 130kg and include 2 with brakes. This may seem over-engineered but better wheels mean easier movement. Once the bed is full of soil and water, it will weigh 200-250+kg (depending on the soil type used).
New timber garden beds with WaterUps® wicking cells. Kits include the timber garden bed already assembled with the 6 wheels attached, a 0.5mm thick pond liner (certified as drinking water safe AS/NZS 4020:2018), the inlet and outlet pipes and the WaterUps® wicking cells. These kits are designed to install yourself, full colour instructions with plenty of photographs are free to download below.
Extras required
You need 8L of perlite in the legs of the wicking cells.
180L (0.18m3) of soil.
We recommend BioGro Premium Wicking mix – 6 x 30L bags.
